Woke
to a chorus from all the different birds at 7am. 8am, 27 degrees, overcast and
starting to rain.
By
8.30 it was chucking it down. Will need flippers to get to the truck!!
Apparently it is from the WA ex-cyclone’s low.
I
worked on the photos of Tassie for the magazine – so hard to choose a few –
ended up sending 60 – well we were there for 6 months. She suggested using a
website called wetransfer.com to send up to 2GB of photos to email addresses.
Much easier than through my email which flicked some back as I sent too many!!
The
wind has picked up with the rain only light now. After lunch headed into town
to look at the van shop for fridge vents, get some new water filter cartridges
from Bunnings and buy the groceries. Coles Express was 119.9 while Woolies Fuel
is 110.9. Woolies have the gas bottle deal now and theirs is only $24 and we
get the extra 10c/l off too so guess where we are going!!
That
filled in the afternoon. Next door couple bought a Jayco van and a car in
Queensland and had to change their driver’s licence to Qld to be able to buy
it. I thought we were in Australia – seems we are all different nations not
just states. He has had heaps of troubles though and now the brakes aren’t
working.
I
had texted Margaret to say we are heading her way and she rang to find out our
plans. Looking forward to seeing her and Gary again. They are hoping for some
good weather to take us fishing at Marion Bay.
Rang
Mum and Dad for a chat. All well there.
Chatted
with Jon too which was lovely. Just need to get onto the big son of mine!!
Much
cooler night with the wind still blowing.
