Sun, 31st July, 2022 Beach camp near Coconut Well, north of Broome to Goldwire Rest Area, Great Northern Highway, south of Broome, WA

6.30am 14.3 degrees, no wind so sat outside in the sun for breakfast. The tide is low as high tide was midnight.

Steve replaced the sway bar thing. The tide is coming in.

Last photo while we enjoyed the view with our cuppas.

Headed out as more people started arriving. Will have to come back next year so we can explore the pools in the rocks somewhere. People have posted up lovely photos.

Back to the main road then onto the Broome Highway till we meet the Great Northern Highway where we turned south. Through Roebuck Plains.

Lots of very straight roads up here.

Reached Goldwire Rest Area in time for lunch. Plenty of travellers already parked up - there is plenty of room too. We chatted with a few while we had our lunch in the shade shelter.

Brian and Kerry arrived so we parked near them and then chatted the afternoon away. So lovely to catch up with them but a shame we couldn’t spend more time as they are now heading back to Cairns.

There is a bee hive in the tree near the toilet. They are very busy bees!

The night chill set in so we all headed to our ‘homes’ for dinner.
