What a change from yesterday morning. Down to 8 degrees under a clear sky. Love our diesel heater. Once it gets to 20 degrees we get up for breakfast!
Packed up and headed back. The wind is back.
Met Rob and his friend Mick on the track with their trailer - collecting firewood for their camp.
We continued on and took a different track into land that hasn’t any lease over it. With one of the big companies here going into receivership they have dropped a lot of their ‘extra’ leases. We tried one spot but only got rubbish.
Continued along the track through a wide valley till we met a creek which wasn’t suitable for us to go through. Turned around then pulled off the track on some ground that looked interesting and set up for the night.
I wandered up the slope of a small hill near the camper. Nothing for Steve after a big walk other than seeing someone else parked on the other side of the hill.
After lunch we only have a light breeze now so it is much warmer, 28 degree max. The vehicle Steve saw came towards us and stopped for a chat. Didn’t find anything up the gully.
Steve went wandering and I worked on my cross-stitch. Nothing for Steve unfortunately.
Cards and drinks inside then after the sun set we went out to enjoy the after sunset colours and the stars appearing. We didn’t have much wood either. It was a lovely afternoon temperature but then the chill arrived about 6.30pm.
Inside for dinner.
