Lovely
sunrise.
20 degrees at 7am and we can hear a lot more birds with the windows open. Especially the roosters!! There seems to be a rooster or two in every town.

Bathurst
12 hour on today so nice relaxing day. Steve coloured my hair so looking good again.
Another
Qld couple, Chris and Danny, pulled in with their homemade van – very
nice. There are so many Queenslanders over here we will need the number plate –
“On the Move”!!
Leanne
and Rick from Gordon then Sorell have arrived after checking out the Wooden
Boat Festival. We probably could have driven back as it is on 46 km to Hobart
from here. Made some scones and shared them with the others over a cuppa. So
nice to be able to sit around chatting. Danny said to check out the Deer farm
on the road to Ouse.
The
others got their dinner ready but it was only 6pm so we headed into Hamilton
(sun still shining brightly) to dump toilet and get water and fuel. We drove
down to check out the deer first.
Looks
like Santa’s reindeers’ summer camp.
Into
Hamilton and checked out the convict built Hamilton Inn built around 1826. It
is a historical town and was settled for its rich grazing land in the early
1800s and was originally earmarked as the capital of Tasmania.
The Clyde River runs through the town. The council campground is right beside it but there is only room for a couple of vans.

Fuel
is self-serve swipe your card type. Good to try it out with no one around so we
could figure it out.
Before
going across the bridge I took a photo of our camp area.
Back
at the camp and a great photo of Dunrobbin Bridge – great name.
Had
dinner then watched Bogan Hunters because they were in Canberra for the Summer
Nats and then at Bathurst last October when we were there. The wind has come up
and it has turned cold – so much for summer heat!!!
Russell
posted photos of ‘wet’ Cairns on Facebook – thinking of everyone at home
getting wet.
