Mon, 17th July, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

Sprinkle of rain in the early morning.

7.30am 18.1 degrees, cloudy.

The wind was gusty and moved the clouds around us.

Rang Mum and Dad for a chat.

Back detecting. Tried to dig out a big rubbish sound in one of Steve’s areas. Got down to it but it is a big sheet of corrugated iron. Continued out further in our clean up area and was rewarded with two little bits.

Erica rang to let us know they were home safe and sound. She says she is going to weigh all the rocks they brought home just to see how much they collected in garnets, amethysts, agates etc.

Lovely evening by the fire. It is starting to cool off quickly again at night.
