Thurs, 25th Oct, 2018 Bush camp at Peace Gorge, Meekatharra,WA

We woke at 3am to the sound of thunder then the lightning flashed. A bit of rain fell but it moved over us quickly and there isn’t much wind so we didn’t worry about rolling in the awning etc.

6.30am the wind came up with a bit more rain. The sun is shining in the east through it is black everywhere else. Quite cool, have the windows closed and it is only 19 degrees. Folded up the awning as the gusts are getting stronger.

The dark clouds have cleared by 10am but it is still windy. A few puffy clouds about but otherwise find.

After lunch Steve put up my Geckos I bought in Cairns. Two on the side of the van and the little one on the back replacing the gecko sticker I had there.

I worked on my blog again while Steve pottered about.

2.30pm another shower of rain passed over us. Cool day – only got to 26.

Went for a walk around the rocks then more blogging.

Had a nice chat with Kaylene and Rick then Tom and Sandy who are starting to get organised in their house.

Another storm is going around us – lovely lightning flashes and just a distant rumble here and there. The wind picked up but no rain.

Quiet evening with the van closed up from the cold wind.
