The wind got stronger in the early hours this morning, rocking the camper.
Overcast now with spits of rain at 8am. Looked on the radar and there is a big mass coming across. Roz had posted she got that storm the other night at Hampton. Forecast for only a max of 24 today and up to 30mm of rain somewhere.
The rain settled in at 9am. Gary & Cheryl headed off to his Aunty’s funeral - hope it isn’t too wet for it.
We just stayed in the camper, reading, blogging etc hoping the heavy rain will pass before we go and visit Dawn at 2pm. I posted up some photos on Facebook of our travels (very behind!) and got a message from Sue & Ian who are in Rosebud and said to call in and see them. We arranged for Friday afternoon. Will be great to see them both again. This has turned out to be a wonderful social trip.
Rang Rick for a chat - Kaylene back at school already.
Made a nice warm omelette for lunch as it is wet and cold.
Packed up and headed back up to Knoxfield. ‘Girlie’ took us to the address for the retirement place but that road was the golf course and we can’t get through to the houses. Worked out a way around to where we remember going in past the BMX track. Found it and then along to her home and found a park in the visitor area - luckily we didn’t meet any traffic as it is very narrow roads.
Had a lovely time chatting with Dawn. Had a few fights with Covid and now her blood pressure goes up and down but otherwise she is happy with life. Forgot to get a photo.
The sky has cleared and rain gone now as we said goodbye and headed back to Gary and Cheryl’s place. Still cloudy here though.
Backed into our spot and set up again. They are at the basketball tonight so we had our drinks and dinner in the camper. Got some cross-stitching done too.
Rang Kaylene to hear how her first days went back at work and tell her about her Mum, Dawn.
Steve tried to get TV reception but only got a local TV in Geelong which wasn’t very good.
The evening cooled off so we closed up the camper again.
