Another
month has passed and we have enjoyed it at home in Cairns.
Our
Mummy Sunbird is very busy with her nest.
Finance
Advisor and Accountant this morning.
Passed
another Aussie Big Icon – our Captain Cook.
Got
the vanity base in a flat pack – Steve’s job for tomorrow!!
Heading
up Mum’s street we stopped to get a photo of the street’s resident Curlews and
their chick. They stood as still as stone – very good birds to photograph!
After
lunch we checked out Munro Martin Park after its big make-over. Across the road
was the Civic Centre which is now being demolished ready for its big make-over.
Lots
of information along the walk. Will be very pretty here when the vines cover the
walkway and are in flower.
Dad’s
favourite.
Continued
on the walk.
We
had lots of fun nights dancing at the House on the Hill when we were young. It
was pulled down and how units are on the hill.
As we headed to Pete and Marree’s for dinner we called past our first home in Collinson St. It has had a total make-over. Looks good.
Checked
out our Cicero Close house too – fence and different colour.
At
Yellowfin Close, not much has changed – the front garden still needing
attention!! They have put up a fence and security screen over the front door.
Great
view from Pete and Marree’s over Cairns.
You
can see our old house front from here.
Zoomed
in on Green Island but it is a bit hazy.
Later
on the lights of Cairns started to glow.
The
moon is peeking through the clouds. It was a spectacular Super Moon on Monday
night – the closest the moon has been to the earth in 60 odd years. Next time
won’t be till 2037.
