Tues, 17th Jan, 2017 Karri Gully, east of Nannup, WA

Cool night, 17 degrees at 8am. Nice and quiet with just the sound of the birds singing and flitting about, and the occasional car and noisy truck.

Worked on my blog while Steve replaced the truck’s brake pads. He pottered around checking other things, like the van’s brakes and tyres. There is always something to do.

Enjoyed sitting at the picnic table for our cuppas and lunch – no flies!! Mind you I was looking to sit in the sun to warm up.

Jobs all done and blog up to date so time for a drink and put my feet up. I even baked some cookies while the laptop charged.

Worked out our next week or so sightseeing around Pemberton-Northcliffe  area.

Two cars pulled in and then a chap walked out of the bush. The cars left but the chap was staying for the night. He was following the Bib Track and left Kalamunda on New Year’s Day. He is going to detour now and do the Cape to Cape Track then come back and finish the Bib Track to Albany. He said the track is very well maintained and there are 50 huts along the track. A few were burnt in bushfires but they have been replaced already.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
