Fri, 6th May, 2022 Bush camp by George Creek, near Robin Falls, NT

Relaxing morning. I worked on my blog and Steve changed his circuit breaker. 

Had a cuppa outside watching the little perch race for the anzac biscuit crumbs Steve kept feeding them - naughty boy. 

I kept working on my blog while he went of for a wander. I made lunch and waited then gave up and ate my lunch. Eventually he came wandering back. Been having a lovely chat with a couple from Mossman, now working and living in Cairns. And he used to be such a quiet chap - now Mr Have-a-chat! They are on a 4 month holiday with their two children in a camper trailer. 

After lunch we walked up to check out the falls as to its flow compared to when we were last here. We had to keep an eye out for a Barbie doll that the little girl had lost. Steve found it sitting on a rock. She will be pleased.

Still a lot of water coming out of the side creek. Steve went across to see where it flowed from and there is another creek - maybe it comes down a valley rather than a waterfall hence no one has bothered making a track to it.

A big tree has fallen down across the track so we climbed over it and continued on.

Certainly a lot less water over the falls this time. The other photo was 1^st April.

We climbed up - Steve spotted a lizard - same one as last time?

A couple were here but they climbed up to the very top so we had the pool to ourselves again. It was a bit cooler this time as Steve found out when he went in! All good once you are in.

We had a lovely soak then Steve took my photo.

The young couple came back down and said it was a bit of a climb up and there is only a small pool at the top. More people started arriving as we headed back down. Good timing for us to have the pool by ourselves as the people we met on the track all had dogs!!

Nearly back to the camper Steve stopped to chat with a younger couple about battery issues as he was moving his solar blanket around. I went back to the camper for a cuppa then had a rest and fell asleep! Still getting over our big holiday.

Steve came back and we sat outside with our drinks. The Mossman couple came back from their walk and stopped for a chat. Daniel, Olivia, Charlotte & Levi. Daniel works with Steve’s cousin, Mitch - small world. 

After they left John and Kay brought over their chairs and we continued on with our drinks. Lovely evening - no need for fans for the first time in ages.

Tiny bugs are still getting in but they are bearable while we play cards.
