Sun, 11th Feb, 2024 Malcolm & Kerry’s place, Scamander, Tas

14 degrees min in the closed up camper. Overcast.

Went for a walk along Wrinklers Beach (can’t find out why it is called that). Wild and windy today. Over Scamander then back towards St Marys etc.

Malcolm braved the cold water and a crazy fisherman was hoping for breakfast.

Along to the tidal creek on the north end of town. Watched the waves come up and over to flow down into the creek.

A few surfers are trying to catch a good wave. The sun is trying to get through the clouds.

Back home for bacon and eggs breakfast to warm us up.

The sun comes in and out through the clouds this morning. Malcolm and Kerry took us for a drive up through St Helens to The Garden. As we neared Steve saw the Dutch couple that we chatted to on the Spirit. We pulled up for a quick chat - they have had a wonderful time and made it to the Wall which was great.

Around to The Garden which I couldn’t remember visiting then when we drove in I remember being here before. There is only a small turn around and it was full of cars so we didn’t stop. Bleak day for photos any case of the ‘orange’ rocks.

We drove back over the Big Lagoon again then around to a camp area and walked down to the beach. Nice view back over the lagoon and the beach.

Continued back home for a late lunch.

Worked on my blog then helped Kerry with a new jigsaw. I love doing them but it’s a bit hard in the camper!

Lovely dinner at the Hotel tonight.
