Still overcast and drizzly rain this morning. BOM recorded 153mm at the airport since 9am yesterday (which fell from 4pm on). 3-30mm forecast for today! Hope we get some dry days before we have to load the camper back on!
Cuppa with the girls at Tuckshop. I took some date slice - they had a plate of yummy cheesecakes! Such a wonderful group of ladies - it is always a pleasure to stop in for a chat.
I went up to the office then to see Carol and met the new principal. People have asked me what happened to the 50th anniversary brick wall and time capsule now the new performing arts building is being constructed. The bricks were saved and will be erected in a new spot with the time capsule. Unfortunately even with all the work we put in buying waterproof pit and making sure everything was sealed, water did get in and a few things were lost but they have preserved the rest and will bury it again. I said maybe a hole in the wall would be better than in the ground!
Still raining. Picked up Steve’s boot then home for lunch.
Finished Sarah’s wedding cross stitch and put it in its frame. Will leave it with Wendy to give to her and Ben on their wedding day on the 12th July this year.
Lovely cuddles with Beau in his cute little hat. 5 weeks old now.
Checked my old FB page and noticed that nephew Timothy had proposed to Taryn.
Wonderful news. We had visited him - sadly Taryn was working, when we went through Narrabri last year. They look very happy. Sent Greg and Tracy texts too. Tracy responded and we sent texts back and forth for a while. She and Greg are going down to visit them in Sept then on to Katie and Aidan in Canberra and will take her mum and Matthew too so it will be a great family trip.

The sun is out and there is a lovely breeze. I headed out to babysit Sophia one last time so Fran can get her dressing changed. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer and she will be all good again. Fran is such a loving mother and wife to our Daniel.
Steve finished off a few jobs and put the new seat covers on.
I washed and vacuumed Greg’s car so we can return it to him this afternoon.
Called into Wendy and David’s to drop off Sarah’s cross stitch for her marriage to Ben in July. Looking forward to seeing the photos.
Out to Greg’s to drop off the car. Julie was there too so had a quick chat.
Last cuddle with Sophia till next year. I hope she continues to grow well and blossom.
Daniel had made us a fire pit using the water cutter at work - he is such a skilled man and a very wonderful father and husband. We are so proud of him.
Headed home as the lovely sunset colours tinted the white clouds about. No rain today with has been wonderful.
Spoke too soon - light rain started after dinner.
Thurs, 18th
Suzanne’s birthday - sent her a birthday message.
Light clouds and breezy so I got my washing done then started cleaning the camper.
Loaded the camper back onto the truck - I find this part very stressful but it always happens without any mishaps.
Packed the rest of the stuff in the truck and Steve cleaned up Jon’s shed.
Kaylene and Rick came over for a cuppa. Jakob joined us too to discuss buying a secondhand ute like Jon’s. Lovely afternoon chatting. I had lots of cuddles of Beau so much so he fell asleep.
So comfortable laying on his mother.
He is loving his bath now which is great.
I cooked dinner for us and Jon and Annalise. Lovely evening sitting outside on the patio.
We will certainly miss our grandchildren but with videos and photos I won’t miss their milestones, just all the cuddles etc.
