Woke
with a text from Louis!! Then one from Fozzy – they must have been up early as
it was only 7.30am here. Lovely cool breeze coming in the windows. 28 degrees
at 8am. Clear sunny morning with quite a strong wind. Think it’s going to be a
hot day though.
Cooked
my 3 Ingredients Fruit Cake then had breakfast. Received lovely texts from
family and friends.
Rang
Mum and Dad to chat with Dan, Jon, Greg, Tracy and kids. They were just sitting
down for breakfast. So lovely to hear them all – do miss them so much. Got off
before the tears choked me up – I am such a softie!!! Mum took Val to the
pokies on Wednesday and they won $50 – she really is a miracle walking!!
Janet
and Geoff had run so rang her back and chatted with her then Joc and John. Gave
Malcolm and Kerry a ring and said to wish all the family Merry Christmas. Tracy
and Grant rang as they headed up to Grant’s parents for lunch.
Lovely
chat with Rebecca, Clive and Ingrid.
Packed
up and headed into Terang to join Glen, Lexi & Col for lunch. Parked on the
street behind their van – they are too big to get into the van park. Got lunch
underway – apricot & herb stuffed chicken, roast vegies, stirfry greens.
Rang Dave and Amanda as they were having Christmas at their place. Brian and
Sam had driven down as a surprise. Chatted with them then Erica and Terry.
The
other’s lamb roast was ready so we headed into Glen’s motorhome with the air
conditioning on as the flies are bad and it is quite warm, 36 degrees, though
the wind is still strong and not too hot.
I
cooked sticky date pudding and we had custard and icecream and fruit mince pies
along with chocolate nuts and fruit – went the whole hog this year. It was
lovely. So nice to spend it with friends too. Drank half a bottle of Asti too.
I
went to wash up with my Christmas carols on and then do my blog while the
others worked on the Formula 500s as a couple of the wings fell down in the
trailer and broke so some repairs are needed.
Dark
clouds are building and it is getting quite humid.
Rang
Suzanne, Kayleigh and Tenille in the afternoon as they were having a late lunch
as Libby and Alexander were working but they still weren’t home. The girls were
playing Scrabble to I warned them to watch their mother and her ‘English’
words!!
Finished
off my Asti with some leftover and of course dessert. A few rain drops as we
went to bed.
