Overcast,
20 degrees at 7am. Sent off texts to Rick and Libby for their birthdays today.
Continued
down Chittering Road following the river upstream then over the hill through
lots of grazing land and acreage blocks. Back onto the highway past the big
RAAF Base at Bulllsbrook. Sky clearing though still heavy clouds to the west.
Over
the Swan River. Through Swan Valley – lots of horses and wineries.
Found
Ross & Lara’s place at Wattle Grove. It is so great to know we can leave
the van and truck here – really appreciate their help. Their son, Noel, was
there so we sorted out with him where to park in the old dressage paddock. They
have sheep here to mow the grass – they need more as the grass has grown a lot
with all the rain Perth has been having. Warmer today which is nice.
Got
TV reception and settled down to watch the V8s roar at Bathurst for qualifying.
Leanne & Rick rang with an update of what’s been happening over there. They
are on the same gate we were on last year and a wheel came flying over the
fence and landed near where I would have been standing!!
Got
out the big bag and started packing then weighing then reshuffling!!
Clouded
over in the arvo and it cooled off – rain forecasted for tomorrow.
