7.30am
16.6 degrees, sunny with a light breeze.
Drove
back to Lennonville so Steve can have a detect while I caught up on my blog. As
he was about to head off an emu wandered past. Then more followed – heading to
the dam for a drink.
Then
Jon rang to chat with Steve about his work truck. Eventually Steve headed off
but was back after a little while as all he got was rubbish. I caught up
another day – always slower when we start sightseeing and I take so many
photos!!
Warmer
day (back into shorts & tshirt, yeah) which is nice as there is no cold
wind blowing though the flies find you quicker!! Checked out a fenced area
nearby – water in the bottom so not sure if it was a well or a mine shaft.
Drove
into town where they have a speed thing which thanks you for doing under
50km/hr. Then we got pulled over for a breath test – he passed of course.
Back
to the Granites – spotted a few more goats. A road further up has a sign West
Goats so maybe some have escaped!!
Did
some more blog then rang Mum to see how she went at the doctors – no answer.
Tried again after dinner and got Greg who said Mum was in hospital. Her heart
was racing and she has fluid again so her doctor said she should go to
hospital. I rang the hospital and spoke to Mum – who was freezing, they have it
so cold in Emergency, it’s amazing everyone doesn’t end up with more colds.
Will check flights in case we want to go home earlier.
We
enjoyed the night by the fire watching the satellites fly over.
