Mon, 9th Apr, 2018 Bush camp, 15km north of Laverton, WA

8.30am 28.5 degrees, few clouds around.

I worked on my blog as there were lots of photos yesterday. Steve went over where my area but no leftovers. Very still day.

At lunch a breeze came up from the south west which was nice. 36.7 degrees.

Planned our next move as the others are heading off tomorrow. Kev and Linda are heading back to Kalgoorlie to pick up their grandson for the school holidays. We might see them there when we head down to shop. Geoff and Virginia are going exploring on the way back to Perth as Virginia’s sister is coming over in early May from Christchurch. Will keep in touch and hopefully catch up with them somewhere in WA again.

Steve found an old axe and gave it to Kev as he collects them, being a timber industry man. It had Kelly engraved on it and Geoff googled and they found that it was made in the late 1800s, early 1900s. Probably was used by the men on the woodline tramways.

Virginia had made some bookmarks to use in their Geocaching but she decided they were too nice so she gave one to me and Linda which was lovely.

We settled in around the fire. A few clouds about which might upset our star watching!! Lots of chatting then Virginia and Geoff handed out some presents to say thanks for our friendship and advice. I received a very heavy horseshoe complete with nails was I was the lucky one (the only one to find gold here). Steve got some silver bullet shells. They were trinkets they found as they detected and we all had a great laugh and were very impressed with their thoughtfulness.
