Fri, 6th Apr, 2018 Bush camp, 15km north of Laverton, WA

7.30am 27 degrees, clear sky and light breeze.

We all headed in different directions searching for gold. I just stayed on some salt & pepper ground near the van and was pleasantly rewarded.

Back to the van for a cuppa and cool off – going to be hot today and a bit humid too. 9.30am it was already 31.7 degrees.

Rang Margaret and Bob for a chat. Margaret heading off to Port Hedland today to look after her daughter’s dogs – will be hot up there but she has air conditioning.

11.15am broke my only 1 nugget per day curse and scored another nice one not far from the first one. Now to grid the area well.

36 degrees at lunch time – glad we have our fans though Steve is tough and remains in his detecting clothes while I strip off to shorts and singlet!!

3pm up to 38 degrees – what happened to Autumn. It isn’t too bad in the shade with the breeze blowing. Our new fridge is happy and keeping everything cool which is the main thing.

No luck for anyone else and I didn’t have any more joy either. Once the sun went down the temperature was perfect and we enjoyed our evening chatting as the sky filled with some many stars.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
