6th to 18th June, 2023 Kurinelli Goldfields on Kurundi Station, NT

Had a wonderful time with Ray and Carol and made new friends, Antony and Jen and their son, Dutch (from Humpty Doo). Explored the area and each night caught up with the others for drinks as the sun set. First days were quite hot then it cooled down to mid 20s and a bit cooler in the evening, 18s to 10 degrees at daybreak which wasn’t till 7am so the heater got used in the mornings.

The station had just brought in some new cattle to the yards so we were mindful not to disturb them while they settled into their new home.

Spotted smoke in the distance and watched the black smoke spiral up then become a white puffy cloud - weird. More spires started and we realised it was a burn off - possibly in the National Park which is south of us.

Nice views from up one of the many hills around here.

Met some other chaps from Bendigo, one chap was a driller so he gave me his card for Jon to give him a ring.
