7am 7.1 degrees! Heater on of course. 7.15am before the sun peeked over the horizon.
Packed up - we were second last to leave the rest area!
Into Alice Springs to do our shopping for the next 3 weeks. We do it in stages as it takes some shuffling in the camper and then to rebag meat etc for the freezer. The others had asked for a few items too so we got that too.
Kaylene rang while we were shopping so I rang them back later and we had a nice chat with her and Rick once we had finished.
The police at the BWS shop said we can only have 1 spirit, 2 cartons of beer and 6 bottles of wine per day per drivers licence holder. We said we needed to pick up more spirits for our friends up north and he said to go to the drive through at the Todd Tavern as there is no limit there - go figure! We couldn’t fit under the drive through so we walked in and I asked the lady policeperson (or whatever we have to refer to them nowadays as) - probably can’t say lady either! Any case, I explained what we wanted and her only question was ‘where were we going to drink it?’ I said Kurundi Station, up north and she said that’s fine so we picked up the extra grog for the others.
Jon rang to say he was there so we headed over to his work’s ‘yard’. We parked up by the office area near where their accommodation was and had a great chat. So lovely to see him.
We met some of the other chaps for drinks then Jon drove us over to a tavern for dinner.
After dinner we played a game of Sequence and Jon got Annalise on the phone via video so she could see what we were doing and join in on the chatting. She was starting work at 11pm so was just resting up before heading out. Jon won by the way.
