Thurs, 25th May, 2023 Bush camp by Running Waters (Davis River), east of Nullagine, WA

The birds are up early but too cold for us. 10.8 degrees so on with the heater for breakfast.

Used the creek water to do our washing but tipped it out away from the creek.

Steve worked on the big rocks at our entrance to make getting out a bit easier.

Steve coloured my hair - not ready yet to go grey!!

After lunch we had a long float in the pool. Nice in but cooler getting out as there is a bit more wind today. The older couple came down for their swim. They were from Poland originally. Had a lovely chat with them before they walked back out to their camper. A chap walked in looking for a spot then we heard more cars and two mine vehicles drove in. A group got out and jumped in the water. They floated down towards us so we had a chat. They work for one of the mines between Woodie Woodie and Telfer and they are flying out of Woodie tomorrow so thought they would enjoy a swim today. The other chap went back to his vehicle and drove down to the other side of the German couple.

After a cuppa we walked down to the German couple for a chat. Very interesting couple.

Back for drinks by the fire. Not as cold tonight. I cooked an omelette inside while Steve cooked the sausages. Unfortunately hard beetles started bombing him so that was the end of me sitting outside!!

Warmer night.
