Overcast
and 17 degrees. Packed up. Fed the ducks one last time. Headed off to Lilydale
Falls. Overnight camp here. Nice park area.
It
is just starting to spit rain so we went for the 10 minute walk along the creek
up to the falls.
There
are two – not the most exciting but nice enough walk.
Little
pools between with a couple of trout in them.
This
is the top falls.
Lots
of birds and a few pademelons in the bush. As the raindrops got more frequent
the frogs started croaking happily.
Back
to the van for lunch and to put the silverside on in the Ecopot. Lots of people
come, do the walk and go again.
Rang
Malcolm at Westbury and arranged to go to his place on Thursday so we can join
them for the Longford Revival Festival that he is racing in. I put a date slice
in the oven and prepared some pikelets.
A
van and truck pull in with Qld plates so I said hello. They were from Cairns,
Mt Sheridan actually and Steve installed their stove. I put the kettle on and
cooked the pikelets so we had a great afternoon chatting with Noel & Anita.
Drizzly
rain all afternoon. Steve got onto the Cairns chap about the radiator. We have
to go back to the chap in Launceston and get him to take it out and inspect it
more so will go back to Mac’s Farm tomorrow.
Baked
some more cookies. Plugged into the power point outside the shower room (which
is closed now due to vandalism).
Lots
of backpackers have arrived – poor things setting up the tents in the drizzly
rain.
