Rain
again as we woke up then by 9am it was clear and sunny. Said bye to Joc and
John as they headed up to visit Roger.
David,
our accountant rang to run through our tax returns so that he had them ready
for when we get back to Cairns. Packed up the van and headed off. Unfortunately
I picked another road – it was straight on the map – instead of the road we
have been on before and ended up doing a tour around the side of Mt Eliza on
very narrow one lane streets. Luckily we came out again onto the Nepean Highway
so I put ‘girlie’ on and off we went. Turned off at Loch and into the
campground beside the Bass River. Nice and green but the ground is very wet.
Enjoyed
eating lunch in the sunshine listening to all the birds. I spied a galah high
up in the tree so managed to get a photo. They must have a nest up there.
The
sun disappeared so I headed into the van to work on my blog. Steve chatted with
a chap that arrived with his chainsaw to chop up the fallen trees. He then
helped him load it into his trailer – what a nice chap he is.
Spent
the rest of the afternoon planning our trip from Melbourne back up to Bathurst
after we return from Cairns.
Light
rain has started to fall. So much for drying out our awning.
Rang
Ian for a chat as he had left a message the other day.
Rang
Leanne to chat about Bathurst and she is ordering a heater like ours.
Rang
Rebecca and Clive to hear about their trip overseas. Looking forward to seeing
all the photos.
Couldn’t
get any TV reception but now that it is raining we can watch Channel 7 – go
figure.
11pm
it was 7.3 degrees.
