17
degrees this morning. Said by to Angela and John and wished them a great time
in Tassie.
An
hour or so later another Qld van pulls in – Elaine and Kerry with their dog,
Red (looks just like Red Dog too).
Not
as hot today so won’t go for a swim – those crayfish might nip my toes!! Gave
them some more meat when we had lunch by the river again. Another one came out
too.
Getting
up-to-date on my blog. Chatted for a bit with Kerry then excused ourselves to
go inside to watch the V8s at 4pm for an hour. Great race but Jamie shouldn’t
have had a dive at Mark – do hope Mark wins the championship this year – only
two races left in Homebush in December.
Drinks
with Kerry and Elaine and she gave me heaps of advice and places for WA
travelling.
Louis
had rung so we returned his call. Confirming the dates they will be down in
Terang for the Formula 500 Series so that we can go down and join them and help
pit crew. He said they had about an inch last night at his place.
Rang
Mum – all well there but Val is not good. They thought it was pneumonia but it
was another heart attack and she is still haemorrhaging somewhere inside so she
has refused any more intervention as she is ready to go. So sad but she is such
a fighter and has been through so much. Her children are with her but of course
she has to wait for her body to do the job. Mum said Greg and Tracy went to
Sydney for a Doctor Who thing and were outside Sunrise this morning waving when
Dr Who was being interviewed. We missed it.
Rang
Lorraine and she was still at the hospital so I had a chat with Val – she was
still upbeat – she is so amazing. Got off before my tears started to spill and
I got too choked up to talk.
Tried
Kaylene, but no answer, then I remembered she flew to Melbourne today. Rang
Rick and he said she would be out to dinner. Had a great chat with him – he is
burning the candle at 3 ends at the moment with the rental house renovations
etc but hopefully things will ease up for him soon.
Rang
Wendy for a long catch up too – Sarah is still having a fabulous time in London
and went back to Turkey to take her holiday prize she won on Instagram. She is
certainly seeing it all.
Tried
Erica to let her know about Val but no answer so sent her a text.
Yummy
Barramundi for dinner tonight – it was so nice. All quiet now as a lot of the
other people have left.
