Mon 18th Sept, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

7am 20.8 degrees, clear sky, cool breeze.

Made pikelets for morning tea with Tom and Sandy for a change as were weren’t going detecting till later. Lara brought over the left-over pavlova from Saturday night BBQ – still yummy.

Hot day, 35 degrees but the breeze is still cool.

We played games at the main camp for the afternoon after we finished detecting.

Must be fires around or it just the dust in the air as the sun sets have been blood red for the last few nights.

Malcolm had rung – we had seen on Facebook he had a good time racing at Sydney Motorsport Park. Rang him back and they were on the Spirit heading back to Tassie. Kerry had taken a pill and hit the sack as Bass Strait is going to very rough tonight. Chatted about the racing and our plans for the Cape York trip next year.

We both had easy dinners organised so we continued playing outside our van with some LED lights Tom had as the mozzies had moved in on us at the main camp.
