Sun, 27th Aug, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

7am 20.5 degrees overcast with a gusty breeze.

Got a text message from Mum – obviously service was down and we didn’t get her call but the voice to text message came through as ‘I should have died yesterday’. I rang her straight back and it was actually ‘Alisa died yesterday’. Lindsay’s mum passed away after a battle with cancer. Our thoughts are with Max and all the family.

Warm day as the sun tried to peek through the clouds.

By 5pm dark clouds were building in the south west and heading our way.

Lightning flashing and then the thunder started as it got closer. Just got dinner cooked on the fire when the first drops of rain fell about 7pm. The wind picked up and the storm came back and gave us a bit more of a proper shower of rain.

I love the sound of the thunder rumbling and watching the lightning flash as long as it isn’t right on top of us!!
