Fri, 19th Jan, 2018 Bob & Margaret’s, near Mandurah to Tom & Sandy’s, Orange Grove, WA (Jess’ birthday)

Cool morning, 18 degrees, clear sky.

Sent Jess a birthday text. She had sent one yesterday saying thanks for the money I sent – she is going to enjoy a massage with it.

Jon rang to chat with Steve about work. He and Jess are very happy together.

Packed up then had a cuppa with Bob & Margaret before heading north along the Kwinana Freeway towards Perth. About 3 kms from our turn off the traffic came to a crawl. We crawled along to our turn off but didn’t find out what was slowing us all down. Across a different road to Tonkin Highway and to Orange Grove where Tom and Sandy live on a friend’s property.

Lovely spot in the shade of trees with a duck pond and horse paddocks beside them.

Nice breeze blowing through as it is quite hot in the sun. Not far off the highway so there is a lot of road noise but you don’t notice it after a while. Will stop here for a few days then head off for a few weeks up to Northam sightseeing our way down to Wagin etc to finish off the bottom end of WA.

Chatted for a while and met the owners and other people who have horses here.

Sandy and I played some 3 to Kings then the boys joined us for Dice.

Had BBQ dinner then played Skipbo. Sandy teamed up with Steve and me with Tom. They beat us 3 games to 1. I need a new partner!!! Though I think Tom thinks the same!!

Beautiful clear day.
