Fri, 26th Jan, 2018 Gwambygine Park, south of York, WA

Australia Day though for how much longer – moves are to change the day because it is insensitive to the aborigines – really!!

Watching all the celebrations throughout Australia on Sunrise. Perth is putting on the biggest fireworks display – maybe we should drive back to Orange Grove and watch the fireworks display from Tom’s spot on the hill.

I worked on my blog. We were going back into York after lunch as the Australia Day breakfast should be over in the RV Park by then.

A couple pulled in and set up where the other couple were parked – they had left early this morning. Mick and Marion are from Nanango near Kingaroy, Qld. Friendly couple so we decided to stay another night and join them for drinks later.

Sent the boys texts hoping they are enjoying their Australia Day weekend. Got replies – raining there so not doing much. What a shame but the rain is needed.

Joined Mick and Marion and I commented they are the M & Ms and we are the S & S’s not realising M&Ms is what they call themselves and they have them on their car and van. I said we are geckos so I think I will look for some more geckos to decorate the van with!!

Had a great afternoon into the evening exchanging stories of places we have been and getting info on places to go. Late dinner but luckily I had leftovers. No lamb on the BBQ for us for Australia Day because the gas BBQs don’t work here.

Lovely evening – lots of stars and a nice cool breeze has started up.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
