Mon, 8th Jan, 2018 Bob & Margaret’s, near Mandurah, WA

7.30am 21.7 degrees, clear sky and still windy.

Weigh in day – we have both lost a kilo – but unfortunately we still have more to lose after our Christmas splurge!!

Kev picked up Steve so they can continue on with resheeting his van.

I finished the ‘Batavia’ – a very good book. Certainly makes a difference reading it when we have seen the other history items etc on our way down the coast.

Onto ‘A Fortunate Life’ – Rebecca had said to read this one about life in WA.

Put on the DVD we had about Len Beadell for Bob and Margaret. Len opened up the centre of Australia pushing roads through so a missile range could be built then a blast site for the first atom bomb explosion etc. A very smart man and very witty too. I also had an audio tape of him telling his story and he had lots of funny stories in it. We will be doing the Gunbarrel Highway which he built.

Drinks then walk then back to the van for dinner. Still very windy.
