Tues, 19th Aug, 2014 Canoona Goldfield (north of Yaamba)

Cool start to the day 11.7 degrees – bit slow getting out of bed!!!                                                                                         

Gold prospecting not providing anything to be able to pay the fuel with!!! But he is getting great practice finding bullets, lead and little bits of wire. Another climb over the mountains and down the dales but alas no gold. I found gold with a beautiful day to relax and read my book. No wildlife here expect 2 beautiful green rosellas. Cooking steak and jacket potatoes tonight on our homemade firepit cooker. Then we sat beside our cooker/heater and sipped on 1992 port from Glen & Shelley’s wedding – found it when we moved out, a bit milky but tasted lovely.
