Thurs, 11th June, 2015 Spirit of Tasmania to Joc & John’s driveway, Mt Eliza (Rocky Horror Show)

Calm crossing which was great. Got up at 6am and into the truck at 6.30 then out of the ship and into Melbourne by 6.45am.

Drove down the Esplanade to where we parked 6 months ago while waiting to board. Had breakfast then headed down the Nepean Highway to Mt Eliza. Tried to get a photo of the sun rising.

Parked across the driveway again then went in to greet Joc and John. At 9am it was only 11.7 degrees in the van – overcast but no wind. After a cuppa and catchup I put on the washing.

Headed into the city and parked at Glenhuntly Road then got onto a tram to go into the city. Wandered along till we found the Comedy Theatre on Exhibition Street where we are going to see Craig McLachlan in Rocky Horror Show. Found a place for dinner – schnitzels.

The theatre is old and we had ‘dress circle’ seats so headed up the top. Great view. The show was magnificent and the narrator was Bert Newton. Loved all the music and a live show was fantastic with the impromptu bits from the cast to the audience causing lots of laughter. Great fun and I was singing the songs ‘in my head’ all the way home. Back onto the tram and the sign at Federation Square said it was 4 degrees!! Got back to the truck which was all intact and headed back to Mt Eliza. Got home just before midnight where it was 7.7 degrees!!
