Tues, 9th June, 2015 Horsehead Bend RV Stop, Devonport

7.30am 10.6 degrees in the van as the sky has cleared up. The strong wind all night has blown the clouds away. The wind is still blowing well.

Steve went out to rotate the tyres in the carpark while I rang the girls from Tuckshop for a chat.

Took Steve out a cuppa but the wind was biting so headed back to the van to do the finance stuff – phone recharge, super contribution, reinvest a term deposit etc.

Got up to date with my blog so baked some Anzac cookies, date slice and got dinner ready in the Ecopot. Had lunch then put in a batch of pumpkin scones to take down to Malcolm and Kerry’s for afternoon tea.

They had a great weekend in Melbourne for the football though Malcolm’s team didn’t win. It was only 8 degrees there so I was happy to chat with Kerry and Megan in the house. Steve used Malcolm’s pressure washer to give the car a clean. Rex said there had been snow on the Great Western Tiers this morning though the clouds were covering them now so I couldn’t see any. They had the terrible wind here last night too and it blew over one of the new silos the men had just built.

Malcolm loaded us up with potatoes and eggs which is wonderful. Said bye though we will see them again in August at Phillip Island.

Back to the van, it was 12 degrees inside and 7.7 degrees outside so on with the heater.

Rang Mick and Anne to say goodbye and hope their trip to WA in July is great.
