Sun, 12th June, 2016 Lake Mason Homestead, 56km NE of Sandstone, WA

7am 9.5 degrees, blue sky with whispy clouds and windy. Tim’s birthday today.

David and Majella headed off. Hope we catch up with them again soon.

Fozzie rang for a chat. Great to hear from him. Boys left to explore the other mark Jeff’s friend gave him.

I put a date and coconut slice in the oven then collected timber for the chip heater.

Rang Mum and Dad while I had my cuppa and slice – they were having their lunch!!

Rang Leanne after that – poor Rick has the flu.

Had a nice hot shower and washed my hair – such luxury.

Still windy but a lot warmer today. 22 degrees in van. Had to open up the vents to let some air into the van but I didn’t open any windows as the wind is still cold but the sun coming in the window is lovely and warm. Even got into a pair of shirts and a t-shirt instead of trackpants and jumper!!

Put a stew in the Ecopot and a CD in the player and worked away on the computer.

Clouds started coming over in the afternoon.

The boys got back just after I got the fires going in the pit and shower block. Unfortunately no gold for Steve but Jeff got 1.7 grams (the biggest one was 0.9g).

Another lovely night by the fire. The clouds had disappeared for a while but starting coming back over again about 9pm.
