Sun, 3rd July, 2016 Bush camp, Yandal Staton, NE of Leinster, WA

8am 18 degrees and overcast. Bit of drizzle so Steve put the genie on so I could work on the laptop and to give the batteries a good charge.

Wind picked up and by lunchtime the sun was out but not for long as the clouds came back over and it was a dreary afternoon. Dreary too as Steve didn’t find any gold. Jeff found a few pieces which was good.

Made contact with two people we met on the road who live near Perth and will call in and see them when we head that way in November. We have decided to fly home then as the fares are cheap $119 one way and Erica & Terry will be in Cairns for Jodie’s 21st birthday so we will be able to see them as well.

Got a Facebook message back from Daniel – dropped his phone in the water, hence no replies to my texts.

Chatted with Malcolm and Kerry after his great weekend racing in Goulburn. The car went like a rocket and he won all three races – wish we could have been there with them.

Got the fire going as the sky started to clear for the evening. Amazing how it can clear up so quickly.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
