Sat, 9th July, 2016 Yakabindie Station, N of Leinster, WA

8am 12.5 degrees in van. Strong winds and heavy rain woke us in the night. This is coming from the south where is big front is pushing across WA. Apparently very unseasonal weather they are having at the moment!! It is the strongest wind we have had so far. Rocking the van a lot so we didn’t get a good night sleep.

Sent Russell a happy birthday message via Facebook.

Cold and windy morning though the sun is trying to peek through occasionally. Played a few games of Rummykub as it is too windy to detect.

Leanne rang to see if we were watching the V8s in Townsville – unfortunately no again. Will just have to watch the highlights online later.

Curled up under my little blanket reading my book as the wind whistled in through the fridge vents – so much for putting a bigger vent on so the fridge is kept cool in hot weather!!!

Maralyn rang to say she had met a Weimers relative and had passed on my name.

The sky is clearing and the strong wind has finally settled at 5pm. Put the heater as when I checked the forecast it is going to get down to 5 overnight!!

Watched a Die Hard movie – still a good show to watch. The stars are out now but we aren’t going outside to enjoy them!!

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
