Sun, 28th May, 2017 Lake Mason campground, near Sandstone, WA

13.4 degrees. Cloud covering the sun as it rose though the rest is clear.

Went the other direction to detect today, down along the edge of Lake Mason which has water in it.

We went to where I found my first piece of WA gold using Jeff’s detector. Steve found a couple then I continued working the patch – very nice.

Margaret is a very happy girl as she found a very nice one.

Bob looks classy with his adapted knee pads.

Back to camp for drinks around the fire. Dennis and Linda joined us. They had been a Yandal, where we had the 40E with Jeff last year, just before us. They have done very well detecting over the years. It is getting harder each year though.

Kev put the billy on Steve’s fireplace creation – made out of bits and pieces from around Malcolm Dam. Collapses down to fit in the box too!!
