Thurs, 15th June, 2017 Bush camp, near Meekatharra, WA

I woke at 4am to the sound of pitter patter on the roof – just a light sprinkle of rain.

Warm night, 20.3 degrees at 7am – overcast with dark rain clouds. They just passed over us and made the day very hot and humid.

As we drove back to camp we could see a shower of rain falling in the distance.

We finished early. Sandy and Annette joined us and Tom and Sandy for drinks.

Beautiful night – sky clear and full of stars. We are recycling our water – we catch the shower water to soak our very dirty detecting clothes in and then the next night give them a wash so we have clean clothes every two day. Then I will use my washing machine to do the ‘other’ clothes every now and then.

Enjoying our lovely ‘winter’ weather at the moment – I am sure it won’t last long!!
