7.30am
18 degrees, clear sky.
Packed
our suitcase (borrowed from Margaret – we only have a big duffle bag) ready for
our ‘holiday’ with Kaylene at the Silver Sands Resort in Mandurah.
Went
into town to see Linda then get some groceries for the next week.
After
dinner we headed to Perth to collect Kaylene from the airport. We got their
early so we parked on a side road that lead to a ‘public viewing area’ but was
closed at night. Had a cuppa and checked out the stars and listened to the
continuous landing and taking off of the planes.
Kaylene’s
flight was on time – she had a good flight but agreed they have made the seats
smaller and leg room less. Steve got in the back of the truck on the mattress
and I drove home to Mandurah – bit naughty but it worked fine. I didn’t get
lost as ‘girlie’ was doing a good job for a change in her directions!!
Got
Kaylene settled in the room under the house by midnight. She had a lovely
surprise for me – Mum had sent Christmas presents. Will be so lovely to have
something to open on Christmas morning.
