7am
21 degrees, clear sky.
We
moved camp!! Shifted the van down to the next driveway so Steve can have the
truck beside the shed to work on it.
Our
new mattress for the van arrived and Ben from Mr Mattress (they actually make
the mattresses in Rockingham) took our old one away and even one of Margaret’s
from under the house. He recovers them then donates them to Op Shops etc.
Margaret
and I got to work tidying up the rooms downstairs so I can make up one of the
beds for Kaylene after we pick her up from the airport on Thursday night. We
had fun shifting things around and Bob broke up old furniture, that needed
tossing, to use the timber for firewood.
Steve
put on the new engine mounts. He will have the new suspension to put on when it
arrives soon too. Getting all the jobs done for the desert runs next year.
Rang
Kaylene to make our pick up arrangements. She said Rick is improving which is
wonderful news.
Steve’s
bush BBQ – the legs just clip into the mesh so will be flat to pack into the
truck. Smart boy!!
I
had bought a new Australia map to mark our travels on. Still so much to see.
This time I put it on the inside of the main door so it is protected more from
the dust as the old one in the drop down shelf on the side of the van got very
dusty etc.
Inside
for drinks as the wind is quite cool in the later afternoon. Back to the van to
close it all up for the cool evening. Glad I didn’t take the blankets off the
bed.
