Up at 4.30am though I woke every hour thinking we had overslept!! Annalise drove us in - it was lovely staying with her again and watching the little tummy grow. She is feeling movement now so won’t be long and Jon will be able to feel him move.
We put our bag in and the lady said we have a half hour delay. We got a cuppa and something for breakfast. Delayed another 10 minutes - waiting for a delayed international flight’s passengers.
Seats at the back this time - we were in the middle of the plane coming up. I didn’t book our seats so was surprised we got seats together. Nice views over Cairns as the plane banked after taking off.
Snoozed our way to Brisbane. Got in at 9.15am so went to the same cafe for a cuppa and a toastie.
Onto the Air Train again and back to Dinmore where Leanne & Rick were waiting for us. Back home in time for lunch.
They had 2 mm of rain yesterday so Leanne closed up the camper for us - I had just left the top open a bit. Then the rain stopped. What a shame they need so much more but not enough to flood like they have had here.
Forecast for 35 degrees today and tomorrow then rain on Thursday so we decided we will head off before it comes.
Clouds starting to come over in the afternoon then we heard thunder rumble and the clouds built but no rain - it went elsewhere.
Lovely dinner out on the patio as there is a total fire ban now. The frogs were croaking, I said, sign of rain and Rick said, that’s not frogs, that’s cane toads. We said, No but he got out his phone and Google played the sound of toads croaking and he was right - he says of course he is!! Fancy that after all those years with cane toads we never realised what sound they made - just thought it was frog sounds. We do know what a green frog sounds like as we have had plenty of them living around us over the years. Well goes to show there is always something new to learn and with Google’s help we can find out straight away!
Warm night - no need for a sheet.
