14 degrees at 5.30am but it warmed up quickly to 24 degrees by 8am. Clear sky.
I didn’t get a photo of camp yesterday so here it is.
One of the actuators is going really slow so Steve disconnected it. One of the other campers wandered down for a chat to check out our camper. He has a slide-on too on his big truck but has a patio on the back so it was party central last night.
Then when Steve started the truck he heard a noise in the engine and found the main belt had slipped so he worked on that. The chap came back with some other campers who also had a slide-on so they wanted to have a look at his handiwork too. They were very impressed. Steve just had his head under the bonnet. He found the issue but we will need to get another belt as soon as possible. Something slipped with the alternator he said and made the belt slip so it was rubbing. At least he can solve these problems as they occur.
Went down to Woolies and did our shopping for the next week.
Back out to the main road and up to Childers. At last all the road works have finished so no hold ups. Turned off and headed to Woodgate. Amanda has said the Goodwood Road was closed yesterday due to a fire but we didn’t see any sign of it here - must be further along towards Bundaberg.
New speed change back to 70km/h as we head in past the first houses of Goodwood up to the railway line.
Along the Esplanade - bit windy but still looking lovely.
Around the back of the house and dropped off the camper. The house looks a bit lonely.
Met Tony & Kerry, neighbours beside Paul & Jenny. Lovely couple. Joined them for drinks.
Walked down to the beach - big drop down at the moment onto the beach from the vine covered area. Cold and windy so didn’t stay long.
Dinner - all quiet here - just the sound of the waves.
