11 months since Erica passed.
9 degrees in the camper at 7am so time to put the heater on! So much for the ‘summer’ weather. The wind settled down in the early hours this morning.
I did some baking while Steve and Malcolm returned Meghan’s car back to Launceston. The sun is shining but it is very chilly outside so it is a good day for baking. Forecast for a max of 24 degrees today.
Malcolm said to pick some apples from their tree before the possum got them! Apples from the Apple Isle.
Malcolm picked some green beans too which I had to pick off the stems first which I then gave the rest to the goats.
No wind so it warmed up in the sun.
The boys came back and Malcolm then dug us up some potatoes and carrots. I also picked some cherry tomatoes too - great fruit & vegie store here.
We had lunch then Steve and Malcolm went out to do more more job. Then I heard from Graham and Sharon, they had arrived in Westbury so we will meet them there soon.
The lady from the IGA has a spare allotment and allows people to park up there so we packed up. Will be back here Sunday to drop off the camper before going into Launceston on Monday. Big drive! Pulled in and set up beside their Active campers.
Graham & Sharon had a friend travelling with them too so we had a lovely afternoon chatting. It has warmed up a lot so we were looking for the shade as the afternoon sun is the hottest though the breeze in the shade was then too cool!
Graham and his friend ride the trails so they are heading to ones around Railton tomorrow. I thought we started our visit to Tassie back in 2014 with penguins so I thought we might finish this trip with some.
Retreated to our campers for dinner about 8pm when we realised how late it is. Lovely bit of colour in the sky after sunset.
