Wed, 29th Jan, 2025 Bob & Margaret’s place, Dawesville, WA

Min of 22 this morning, clear sky and easterly wind so up early to join Margaret for a fish off the beach.

Margaret likes herring and a chap had already pulled in some. She got one straight off then I got a garfish which she said is good eating too. She kept catching them - I only got one but it was fun. Got enough for dinner tonight - early fish & chip night as we are heading to Bunbury tomorrow.

Also spotted a stingray, dolphin and then a big manta ray slowly made its way past.

Home for a cuppa as the wind changed to a northerly - no good for fishing.

Andrea’s 60th birthday today. Having a party on Saturday. Sent her a message to party well.

Warmer day - got to 36 in the camper.

After lunch Margaret sewed my shower curtain for me as I only need it around the top. I unpicked the hanging bit at the top!!

Drinks then freshly caught fish and chips for dinner followed by delicious mango cheesecake, handmade by Margaret. She is such a good cook. Need to get back into our walking!!
