A
lot warmer night – only one blanket. At 8am it was 17 degrees inside but with
the cool breeze a brisk 14.6 degrees outside. Decided to spend another day as
it is so nice. Koalas asleep in their trees. Mum and bub still in theirs but
Dad moved to another one across the road.
Rick
rang for some gas help and then we chatted with Kaylene.
I
prepared beef curry and rice in the Ecopot while Steve did some adjustment on
the front of the van. A ski boat arrived and zoomed up the river. Just sounded
like Jon at Tinaroo.
Warm
day with a lovely breeze. Relaxing, looking at the river and reading up about
Bendigo and the Murray River from all the articles I have scanned onto the
laptop. More timber collecting and checking on my koalas.
Mum and bub are cuddled up together.
Went
for a walk along the river again checking out the other campsites. Steve said
this is the caravan testing track!! Luckily there was a bypass track.
Getting
koalaitis – sore neck looking up into the trees!!! Found another one and he was
on a branch over the road!!
After
walking back out to the entrance and back we found another koala just down from
the first one.
The
first one had moved further up the tree as a few people had driven through.
A
just for something different – found a bird – black crow who wanted to walk
with us!! Actually - got that wrong - this is the lovely songbird Currawong but not a nice bird as it attacks other's nests etc.
Quiet
arvo and it is still very warm – such a change – we had to sit back from the
fire as we were too hot!!! Rang Lou for a chat, then he rang back to say Kevin Locke had passed away and another chap Steve knows too. Glad we are on the road doing what we want now. Life is too short!!
