Wed, 7th Jan, 2015 Gordon Foreshore Reserve

Lovely morning, breezy but sunny. Slow morning, more blogging – takes a lot of time but I love doing it.

Steve coloured my hair. He is happy it is getting longer but I will need a 2nd bottle soon.

The wind has picked up a lot so happy to stay in the van.

Made some lunch and ventured outside – still windy but the sun is nice though getting browner as it does burn quickly. Finally finished my book I started at Bathurst.

Made another wind chime up. Steve chopped up some more timber for the cooker tonight.

It is nice to have a few lazy days to catch up on things. Worked out the shopping list for when we head down to Cockle Creek after being with Mum & Dad.

Went for a walk around the bay as the tide was out. Found a lovely big scallop shell, the curved one rather than the flat ones I use for the wind chimes. Someone mentioned to Steve that they are forecasting 40knot winds tomorrow but the wind has dropped to just a breeze now.  We are enjoying a lovely afternoon.

By 5pm the wind has started to come up so rather to be safe than sorry we rolled in the awning.

Mum rang to say we have Qld Government election on 31st Jan so I will have to find out about how to vote.

By 7pm the wind is dropping again and the weather forecast didn’t say anything – oh well. We are going out for the day tomorrow so it is all good in case the wind starts tomorrow.

Enjoyed dinner by the bush cooker again. The sky is clear and it was 9pm and the sun was just disappearing. Rang Dan to see how his new job is – all good.

Back into the van as it is getting cooler again.

10.30pm, the Channel is now dead calm with clear sky, stars and moon. So lovely. Without the breeze it is quite lovely outside.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
