Fri, 3rd July, 2015 ‘Waanyarra’, Dunolly State Forest

7.30 am and the inside temp was only 2.6 degrees so knew it would be very cold outside. Ice on the vents again and frost everywhere outside. Turned on the heater and it started but again after 5 mins shut down so the pipe change didn’t fix the problem. Steve boiled the kettle and poured it over the pipe and tank and away she went!! It was -4 degrees outside. The water in the bucket outside was frozen. The water in our pipes wasn’t frozen though like in Campbell Town, Tas.

9am it was still only -0.5 outside and the water is still frozen. I stayed in the warm van and baked a slice and anzac cookies. Steve, Pete and Penny headed towards Tarnagulla to find gold. I worked on our tax etc.

Lovely clear day but the breeze has a nasty bite. Should have checked the temp at lunch. A few other campers arriving for the weekend.

Rang Simon about the heater and he is baffled. He is posting up a new filter and fuel pickup so hopefully that will fix it. Steve is still thinking of changing the fuel pipe as well.

At 4pm I was frozen so headed down the road for a brisk walk to warm myself up. Steve got the fire going so had that to come back to which was lovely.

6.30pm 4.6 degrees outside. Rang Rebecca and Clive to wish them a wonderful trip to UK and Norway. Will hear all about it when we get home in August.

Clouds are coming over so might be a warmer night.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
