Mon 17th Apr, 2017 Bush camp, Broad Arrow, WA

Still lightning and thunder in the early morning. Overcast and still when we got up.

Rang Leanne for her birthday.

More detecting – we are doing a good job of ‘Clean Up Australia’! The sky had cleared and it is quite warm.

Drove further along the road to check out some pending ground (land someone has applied to have a prospecting or mining lease on – while it is awaiting approval we are allowed to detect on it). Found a nice area of quartz and a shaft but no gold. Heard a rumble in the west and watched a big cloud work its way towards us. It went around but more storms followed but didn’t come over us. Another beautiful sunset.

The stars were out but we only spotted a couple of satellites. Dinner around the fire – the weather has been perfect, must be a late summer or something!!
