Thurs, 30th Mar, 2017 Kulin 72hr RV Stop, Kulin, WA

7am 13 degrees, clear sky – bit chilly!!

Worked on my blog then joined the others for a chat while we had our coffee. Lots of detecting stories. Mark had found a gold ring of historical value whilst detecting and it got stuck on the end of his pick. He wrote an article for the Gold magazine. The ring is now on loan in a museum.

They were having problems with their gas fridge so Steve had a look and fixed it up for them.

By 2pm it had warmed up to 27 degrees and the cool breeze had stopped. Did some more blog then we walked over to buy a 4 pack of Drumstick icecreams from the IGA as a treat – and they were on special. Great to see the kids of the town are recognised.

The Kulin Hotel (built in 1917) had character.

Heidi gave us some King George Whiting fillets to say thanks for fixing the fridge which was lovely and we will enjoy.

Joined the others for drinks and it was a lovely temperature that we stayed outside a lot later.

Had a quick chat with Kaylene as they were just arriving home from Townsville. Rang Mum and Dad for a chat too.

A few more vans replaced the ones that left.
