Tues, 8th Oct, 2019 Bush camp, south-east of Sandstone to Mickey & Chris’ place, Sandstone, WA

7.30am 21 degrees, mostly clear with thin wispy clouds. The wind blew all night and is still blowing hard.

Read our books till smoko then packed up and headed back to Mickey and Chris’ as we aren’t enthused with the area for detecting. Steve may as well spend the time trying to fix the sub-tank sensor light problem.

Set up in ‘our’ spot then made lunch.

Mickey has to go back to Perth in November so they need someone to mind the place then. I will be coming back from Cairns so Steve said he could do it as it shouldn’t be busy then. It will work out great as they can bring me back here since I arrive in Perth the night before they were coming back home. Will ring Tom and Sandy to see if I can spend the night there as my flight gets in a 10.30pm.

Rang Mum and Dad. Dad had his other knee done and is doing well. Mum is going to get hers done too. Peg Brook passed away, nearly made it to 99.

Ordered Steve a new pair of detecting boots. I was going to get them in Mandurah where we bought the last pair but it was much easier and cheaper online and now we will be back here we can have them delivered here.

Nice afternoon chatting with Chris and Mickey then we had dinner together. Chris is back to work tomorrow.

NO PHOTOS TODAY.
