7.30am
26 degrees, cloudy and gusty breeze.
Remembering
Uncle Wal today who would have turned 92. Family and friends in Sydney are
holding a Celebration of his Life today.
Rang
Tom and Sandy to check if I could stay overnight on my way back from Cairns.
Mickey and Chris will pick me up from there and we will all head back to Steve
in Sandstone. Sandy will be in Geelong but Tom said there was a spare bed for
me. They aren’t far from the airport so I can get a taxi. They are ‘house-sitting’
the lease at the moment then they will
head back to Perth on the 21st.
Going
to be a hot day, 39 degrees, so Steve pulled out the awning and put on the
shadecloth for the fridge side.
Steve
looked into the sub-tank problem after reading some forums online and managed
to fix the problem. The reversing light and front light bar had stopped working
too but that was just a wire worn through – we don’t use them much as we don’t drive
at night.
3pm
40 degrees, lucky we have air conditioning in the house to watch the Foxtel
coverage of the Supercars racing at Bathurst.
Rang
Erica. They aren’t coming to Cairns now as she is worried it might be too hot
and humid. Will see them when we get home next year.
Dinner
inside with Mickey in the air conditioning as the heat has continued into the evening.
10pm
still 31.5 degrees in the van though a light breeze has just started so it
doesn’t feel too bad.
NO
PHOTOS TODAY.
