Thurs, 25th Dec, 2025 Geck Family beach house, Woodgate, Qld

Christmas morning. Everyone up early.

The boys got breakfast going.

Into the ‘lounge’ area to open the presents which came out from the hiding places.

While everyone was happy I got a photo of GG with his 4 great grandchildren. Will get it printed for him to have at home.

One of him with Cooper too.

I will keep this one of our two boys in the photo as well.

Got a photo of Dan, Fran and Sophia with us and Terry. Quick informal photos in our family!

Unfortunately Cooper didn’t want any more photos so I didn’t get one with them with Terry.

Later on Stephanie took this one of the 4 of them for Annalise’s mum, Lynda, so I got Annalise to send it to me too.

Lots of laughter as everyone opened their presents. We gave Terry the painting from Dusty we bought in Poochera. He was impressed.

The kids have so many toys. The favourite seems to be the big dump trucks that Dan & Fran bought Beau and Arthur. Sophia had some lovely girly things too.

Dan & Fran gave Terry a wifi photo frame. They had put a lot of photos on it and I had added some back in Cairns so the others got the app and started adding more photos too. He has lots to look at now.

The last present was for me - I wonder what that is haha! I got Beau to help me open the many layers (a favourite present we always had when my kids were litte - one that had a different note for each layer) - no notes in this till the end. Look in the freezer - not that freezer haha. Eventually I found it in the upstairs freezer - I have my luggage tags back.

Lots of bubble blowing things too which provided a lot of fun for all.

Arthur has been Mummy’s boy since he got here but at last I got a cuddle.

Cleaned up and got the lunch ready. The kids were worn out from the morning fun and all went to bed so the Mums & Dads could enjoy Christmas lunch. Jenny & Paul joined us bringing roast port and salad. We had a wonderful feast and lots of fruit and dessert to follow. Forgot to take more photos - too busy have a good time.

Everyone rested for a while then the kids woke and it was water play and toy time again. They keep us very busy.

Amazingly there were some leftovers for dinner. It was a wonderful day and so special to have our three grandchildren and families here with us and Terry and the others as well of course.
